Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9 at 7 PM, the Creative Arts Center’s Kidz Krew Performing Arts Program presents their spring production at the Windom Auditorium in Windom. Each of the program’s three classes will perform a play: Little Kidz Krew – Aesop’s Fables; Kidz Krew – Perseus and the Gorgon’s Head; Teen Special Projects Class – The Perdition Waltz. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors and $5 for children 9 and under and will on sale at the door or in advance at the Creative Arts Center, 200 W. 5th St. in Bonham. The Watercolor & Wood Exhibit, currently on display, continues at the Arts Center. This exhibit features the watercolors and wood carvings of Ron and Helen Eckard of California. Local wood artists also featured in the show are Terry and Bonnie Blose, Layne Schiebel and Kyle Dalton. This exhibit can be viewed through March 27. Jam Night’s a new happening at the CAC. First get-together is Wednesday, March 13, from 6 to 8 PM; musicians are invited to come and play. This is an informal gathering, so bring your guitars, cellos, banjos, clarinets, or whatever you play and join the fun – no charge, of course. On Friday, March 15 at 7 PM, the CAC and Red River Community Theatre present an evening of Readers Theatre. In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, a traditional Irish buffet will be served. No tickets, but donations are required. The play is a comedy entitled Leading Ladies and promises to tickle your funny bone. For more information on any of these events, call the Creative Arts Center at 903-640-2196 or visit www.creativeartscenter.us.
