Kim Packard visits Bonham
Bonham native Kim Packard signed copies of her new novel PHOENIX last Saturday at the Creative Arts Center. A steady stream of friends and well-wishers came by to buy the book and visit.

LECTURE SERIES BEGINS MARCH 21
Our first lecture in the series will be "Mean Enough" - a presentation by Dr. John Hanners, scheduled for March 21 at 7 PM. Dr. Hanners will be speaking about the 1936 murder trail of Velma Patterson in Commerce, Texas. Dr. Hanners is retired from Texas A&M Commerce, where he was a professor and department head. In September of 2012, he was awarded a professor emeritus certificate from that university. During his 20 year career, he was also active in theatrical productions and has written 10 plays, one book, 27 essays, 15 scholarly articles, three book reviews and 15 refereed scholarly papers delivered at state, regional and national conferences.
Kidz Krew play opens March 8 – Readers Theatre March 15
Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9 at 7 PM, the Creative Arts Center’s Kidz Krew Performing Arts Program presents their spring production at the Windom Auditorium in Windom. Each of the program’s three classes will perform a play: Little Kidz Krew – Aesop’s Fables; Kidz Krew – Perseus and the Gorgon’s Head; Teen Special Projects Class – The Perdition Waltz. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors and $5 for children 9 and under and will on sale at the door or in advance at the Creative Arts Center, 200 W. 5th St. in Bonham. The Watercolor & Wood Exhibit, currently on display, continues at the Arts Center. This exhibit features the watercolors and wood carvings of Ron and Helen Eckard of California. Local wood artists also featured in the show are
Terry and Bonnie Blose, Layne Schiebel and Kyle Dalton. This exhibit can be viewed through March 27. Jam Night’s a new happening at the CAC. First get-together is Wednesday, March 13, from 6 to 8 PM; musicians are invited to come and play. This is an informal gathering, so bring your guitars, cellos, banjos, clarinets, or whatever you play and join the fun – no charge, of course. On Friday, March 15 at 7 PM, the CAC and Red River Community Theatre present an evening of Readers Theatre. In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, a traditional Irish buffet will be served. No tickets, but donations are required. The play is a comedy entitled Leading Ladies and promises to tickle your funny bone. BUGTUSSLE TREK VISITS BONHAM
Over 30 vintage cars and their drivers and passengers stopped by the Creative Arts Center on Saturday, August 25 during their annual pilgrimage to Bugtussle, Texas.
